The Studio of Alita DeLaCruz

| Studio Description: |
Alita weaves a variety of expertises into her curriculum as a vocal
performance coach. Her dramatic background includes producing and
directing numerous musicals, dramatic pieces, pantomimes, readers’
theaters and workshops in the United States and abroad. Alita was the
vocal coach for the children on the recently recorded sound track for
the new musical “Resistance!” Four of Alita’s students sang on the
album, which premiered on national radio. Alita is sought after in the
pageant arena for talent development as well as her judging
expertise. Many of her students have been honored with various talent
awards and pageant crowns. In addition, her students have opened for
artists such as Bryan White and Willie Nelson. Alita was employed by
Silverwood School as the Performing Arts Director as well as Young
Performers Studio in Seattle specializing in music, drama and dance. Alita
has toured throughout Europe and the Middle East, as well as open for
such well known acts as “The Charlie Daniels Band”, “Eddie Rabbit” and
“Starship”. Currently, she keeps herself busy with the Miss America
Organization as the Producer for Miss Washington's Outstanding
Teen, producing and
critiquing various individual artists and groups as well as local
appearances.
Alita brings her years of education and tutelage under Maestro Jeffrey
Francis as well as her own rich performing and producing background as a
role model for her students. She assists them in learning and
implementing proper vocal technique, fine turning their growing talents
with concentrated, specialized attention helping each student develop
their own presentational style, confidence, and charisma in performance
situations as well as in the recording studio. Vocally, Alita has earned
credits for her live performances and also her recorded vocals. She has
been well known since 1983 as a vocal performer for state and local
pageants, weddings, funerals, conventions, banquets, retreats, and
conferences. Alita has sung for the past twenty-five years on demo
tapes, studio recordings, radio commercials and audio presentations for
training seminars and company answering services and is a member of the
Music Teachers National Association.
Alita loves seeing the end results of students who have worked hard at
improving their singing abilities and presentational skills. Her
background in drama, music and dance, as well as extensive performances
as a singer/actress has allowed her to transfer her talents to her
students through vocal performance coaching.
