2016-17 Adjudications for Piano, Strings and Voice Students

KMTA offers adjudications for piano, string and voice students during late winter. Students perform and receive both written and active feedback from experienced adjudicators.

PIANO adjudications: March 12-22, various locations. WSMTA Online Registration Deadline: December 15

STRINGS adjudications: March 4, Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church. Adjudicator is Elizabeth Stuen-Walker. Registration Deadline: December 15

VOICE adjudications: TBA

Chapter Honors Recital

After consultation with the adjudicator, each studio may select outstanding students to represent the studio in KMTA’s annual Chapter Honors Recital. This chart shows the number of students allowable from each studio. Lower Level students are those entering Adjudications at levels I, II and III. Upper Level students are those entering Adjudications at levels IV, V and VI.

A.  Number of adjudicated students: 1 to 5  >>  Number of recitalists: One.

  • You may choose 1 Upper Level OR 1 Lower Level student

B. Number of adjudicated students: 6 to 15  >>  Number of recitalists: Two.

  • If 50% or more of your students entered Adjudications in Upper Level, you may choose 2 Upper OR 1 Upper/1 Lower OR 2 Lower Level recitalists.
  • If more than 50% of your students entered adjudications in Lower Level, you may choose 1 Upper/1 Lower OR 2 Lower Level recitalists.

C.  Number of adjudicated students: 16 to 25  >>  Number of recitalists: Three.

  • If 50% or more of your students entered Adjudications in Upper Level, you may choose 2 Upper/1 Lower OR 1 Upper/2 Lower OR 3 Lower Level recitalists.
  • If more than 50% of your students entered adjudications in Lower Level, you may choose 1 Upper/2 Lower OR 3 Lower Level recitalists.

D.  Number of adjudicated students: 26 or more  >>  Number of recitalists: Four.

  • If 50% or more of your students entered Adjudications in Upper Level, you may choose 3 Upper/1 Lower OR 2 Upper/2 Lower OR 1 Upper/3Lower OR 4 Lower Level recitalists.
  • If more than 50% of your students entered adjudications in Lower Level, you may choose 2 Upper/2 Lower OR 1 Upper/3 Lower OR 4 Lower Level recitalists.
