Description:
Kristi has studied music for the past 20 years and is an accomplished pianist, harpist, and soprano. Her repertoire includes classical, opera, folk, sacred, jazz, and musical theater. Kristi holds a diploma in harp performance (ARCT) from the Royal Conservatory of Music and is the Principal Harpist with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra. As both a singer and harpist, she is active performing for various groups and events throughout the Northwest. She has also recorded two CDs of sacred vocal/harp music.
Since 1998 she has taught harp, voice, and sometimes piano and clarinet. She seeks to ground students in the foundations of proper technique, theory, and musicality. Her students, encompassing a wide range of ages and abilities, have participated in recitals, adjudications, choirs, youth symphonies, musicals, ensembles, and other events. Kristi is also a member of the American Harp Society.
